Series Marketing Coordinator (WoO Sprints)

This junior role travels with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series to execute at-track deliverables for our partners and sponsors

Responsibilities:

  • Execute at-track deliverables for partners, including but not limited to: contract fulfillment, signage, reporting, hospitality setup/breakdown/management and at-track displays
  • Lead for on-site signage (sponsor, series, etc.) including physical installation and teardown of signage at each event; develop holistic vision for placement and visibility of signage; make judgement decisions
  • Execute race elements such as Victory Lane and Dash Draw; ensure all sponsor obligations are fulfilled; communicate with announcers, towers, public relations, and Fan Engagement as necessary
  • Execute on-site hospitality program for partners (set-up, hosting, and tear down)
  • Oversee and manage any on-site mobile marketing display program; this could include and is not limited to, coordinating and training local staff, setup and breakdown, supply maintenance, reporting and overall program performance
  • Oversee and manage partner displays to ensure set-up (location) is in optimal location; monitoring partner needs throughout each event; and ensuring teardown is complete and partner exits facility
  • Consistently monitor, evaluate and improve the existing process(es) of at-track deliverable fulfillment; develop, plan and execute alternative methods
  • Documenting each event through photos (uploading into online system) and completing event checklists/recaps
  • Maintain facility-specific guides including detailed plans for deliverable fulfillment
  • Manage on-site lead generation activities as needed
  • Interact with and serve as a resource for at-event partners and/or their representatives
  • Interact with the audience through giveaways or other promotions
  • Ensure administrative elements are fulfilled, such as booking lodging, coordinating travel with other employees; completing timely and accurate expense reports, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned (both office and on-site)

Required Skills:

  • 1+ years related experience, preferably in a hands-on capacity
  • Background in racing, event management or sports marketing a plus
  • Strong problem solving skills required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Entrepreneurial spirit needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Able to communicate with a variety of people
  • Able to handle a variety of priorities simultaneously
  • Must be able to enter and exit Canada
  • A DOT medical card is required as this position will drive a company vehicle from time to time (sometimes pulling a trailer).

Notes:

  • This role is based in Concord, NC
  • This position requires frequent walking and standing, with occasional sitting; climbing, bending, stretching, kneeling and crawling will occur daily; the use of hands to grasp and feel frequently; the occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds; and may require use of close vision. ┬áThis position is primary outdoors and will experience exposure to the elements
