This new part-time role will assist in series and event promotion with the aim of increasing attendance and local engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to all Super DIRTcar Series events, including Super DIRT Week, and create fan engagement experiences, such as and not limited to: material distribution, giveaways, trophy displays, t-shirt toss, pace car appearances
- Seek out non-WRG events such as HarborFest, Syracuse Nationals, NY State Fair, etc.; host pop-up occurrences to promote Super DIRTcar Series, Super DIRT Week and related entities
- Sell tickets, camping and/or parking for Super DIRT Week while at pop-up occurrences.
- In accordance with national and state regulations, collect contact information from potential ticket buyers
- Identify and execute strategies to contact potential ticket buyers with the intent of sales conversion
- In cooperation with other WRG employees, identify local opportunities to create partnerships, expand relationships, provide promotional materials and other chances to develop brand awareness and ticket sales
- Assist with promotion related activities during events, such as and not limited to: ensuring promotional material is displayed, autograph sessions, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- A high school degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of dirt racing, specifically Super DIRTcar Series and/or Big Block Modified
- Outgoing personality
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized
- Able to juggle multiple high-priority tasks
- Able to maintain a positive and productive disposition
- High sense of ownership and personal accountability required
- Proven record of dependability and integrity
