Manager, Studio Production

This new role oversees the production of DIRTVision broadcasts, including live racing events, studio shows and special programming and content under the direction of the General Manager, DIRTVision.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage DIRTVision Master Control and multiple live racing events pushed through the DIRTVision studio simultaneously
  • Communicate with remote production teams to ensure broadcast quality standards for audio, video, transmission; handle incoming content fed from remote productions
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and find solutions for technical issues that arise during broadcasts
  • Train, schedule and manage studio Production Assistants and studio personnel
  • Manage backend distribution channels for live broadcasts
  • Plan and prepare graphics for insertion into each live broadcast
  • Conceptualize and edit highlights for race-night social media distribution
  • Develop race recap/highlight videos following each night
  • Ensure that all edited projects meet DIRTVision standards and are consistent with the preferred brand image
  • Design graphic elements for use in live broadcasts and promotional video content
  • Work with team to build and maintain a well-organized video library and media archive; digitize footage from the tape library
  • Provide remote customer service support; solve or redirect issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years video editing and LIVE production experience
  • Experience managing people
  • Background in sports media experience preferred
  • Knowledge of and interest in short track dirt racing preferred
  • Strong familiarity with Adobe Premier, Photoshop, After Effects
  • High sense of ownership and personal accountability required
  • Proven record of dependability and integrity
  • Strong organizational skills necessary
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Proven history of successfully handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • History of and willingness to work in a team environment
  • Able to maintain positive demeanor, even in highly stressful or demanding situations

Notes:

  • Based in Concord, NC
  • Requires frequent sitting and occasional walking and standing; the use of hands to grasp and feel frequently; the occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds; and may require use of close vision.  This position is based indoors although may experience occasional exposure to the elements
  • Average 10-15% monthly travel, which may include overnight or day trips
