Digital Content Strategist (Concord, NC)

This new role maintains and optimizes the user interface and content experience for DIRTVision, our direct to consumer streaming service, and focuses on content promotion and engaging fans.

 Responsibilities:

  • Oversee content presentation and management optimizations, and updates, ensuring we remain the leader in quality of subscriber experience.
  • Use the platform to design, develop, and launch unique, functional, and branded destinations as needed, with focus on content and fan engagement.
  • Update and improve existing experience to align with current best digital and web practices and search engine optimization.
  • Create best practices and ensure consistency across all pages in regard to look and feel, grammar, punctuation, metadata, graphics, etc.
  • Ensure optimization of website with a focus on driving fan engagement, revenue, and brand awareness.
  • Work with other departments to ensure that DIRTVision is properly leveraged to support various business objectives across ticketing, corporate partnerships, community outreach and more.
  • Review fan support inquiries for feedback and identification of possible areas of improvements, and assist with fan support responses as needed.
  • Assist in additional editorial content, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Bachelor‚Äôs degree in marketing, web design, communications, or other related field
  • Background in generating and presenting content experiences, including SEO/SEM optimization
  • Experience with sophisticated content management systems
  • Ability to have flexible schedule during race season
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with grammar, usage and spelling
  • Strong storytelling and content organization abilities
  • Knowledge of and interest in dirt-track racing preferred; genuine willingness to learn
  • High sense of ownership and personal accountability
  • Proven record of dependability and integrity
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work in a team environment with multiple departments
  • Able to maintain positive demeanor, even in highly stressful or demanding situations

Notes:

  • This is an in-office role based in Concord, NC
  • Full-time
  • In addition to a traditional work week, this role may work in the evenings or on weekends
  • This position requires frequent sitting and occasional walking and standing; the use of hands to grasp and feel frequently; the occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds; and may require use of close vision.
  • Occasional, but infrequent travel, including weekends and overnights as needed to generate unique content from race tracks or related venues
