Fan Engagement Coordinator (Concord, NC base)

This role enhances the live fan experience.


  • Travel to events and provide on-site fan engagement elements which may include and is not limited to: set up and teardown of ticket trailer externals, Victory Lane backdrops, midway games; parking enhancement, material distribution, social media connections, autograph sessions, opening or special ceremonies and promotional giveaways
  • Serve as at-track fan emcee; address audience using PA system and host in-event content such as fan games, promotional item tosses and opening ceremonies
  • Execute in-market promotional plans prior to the event including guerrilla marketing, leafleting, sign placement and other activities; as needed, partner with outside agencies to execute plans
  • Clean, maintain and perform basic repair on fan-experience assets and equipment
  • Plan, research, execute and evaluate additional methods of increasing fan engagement at, before or after events
  • Coordinate pre or post-event entertainment as needed
  • Arrange for honorary starters, anthem singers, color guards, and other special honorees; ensure those individuals receive instructions and assistance during event
  • Partner with DIRTVision, Client Services and other WRG departments as needed to execute fan engagement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in sports management, marketing or related field preferred; combination of high school diploma (or equivalent) and experience acceptable
  • At least one year of previous experience in a related role
  • Comfortable with public speaking in front of large groups
  • Able to learn short-track dirt motorsports
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
  • High sense of ownership and personal accountability required
  • Proven record of dependability and integrity
  • Sense of initiative necessary
  • History of and willingness to work in a team environment
  • Experience driving a truck and tag trailer a plus

  • This position is based in Concord, NC
  • 25-95% average overnight monthly travel during the racing season (February – November)
  • This role requires frequent walking and standing; the frequent use of hands to grasp and feel; frequent lifting of up to 30 pounds and infrequent lifting up to 50 pounds; frequent bending, kneeling and twisting; may require the use of close vision; this role has exposure to outdoor elements include loud noise and dust
